About Austin
Professional Identity
I’m Austin D. Miller, M.Ed., LPCC, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio. I work with adults navigating identity shifts, relationship changes, grief, spiritual questions, and life transitions.
Much of my work centers on the in-between seasons — when familiar roles loosen and something new is beginning to take shape. These moments can feel disorienting, but they often carry real possibility. Therapy offers a steady, ethical space to move through that change.
My Approach
My orientation draws from depth psychology, somatic awareness, and trauma-informed care. I attend to patterns beneath the surface — protective strategies, relational dynamics, and inherited beliefs that shape how you move through the world.
I also hold a contemplative sensibility in my work. I’m comfortable with mystery. Not every meaningful shift can be forced or fully explained. Surrender, as I understand it, is the humility to pivot when clarity emerges and the willingness to be changed by insight.
I don’t position myself as an authority over your life. Therapy is relational. My role is to offer presence, thoughtful challenge when needed, and steadiness as you make sense of your experience.
If you’d like a clearer sense of how sessions are structured, you can read more about my approach here.
What You Can Expect
My style is collaborative and grounded. I ask careful questions and create space for reflection rather than rush toward conclusions. At times our work may feel exploratory; at other times, more focused and skill-based.
You can expect clarity, respect for your autonomy, and a commitment to psychological safety.
